CHEW Animal Hospital (Compassion, Hope, Education, and Wellness)
Our nonprofit organization stands out from the rest by specializing in the compassionate care of sick, injured, and senior pets. At CHEW, our commitment is to advance animal welfare through progressive initiatives. Our mission is to deliver unparalleled preventive care, diagnostics, and surgical interventions to under-resourced families and animal welfare organizations. We are dedicated to empowering families on how to care for their companion animals, while promoting a culture of Compassion, Hope, Education, and Wellness.

Organization History
CHEW was established in January 2021 to bring affordable access to care for pet owners who face financial challenges when providing care to their sick and/or injured pets. We recognized a void in the existing nonprofit veterinary models, which did not support lower-income pet owners in need of medical care beyond spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations.

At CHEW, we deeply believe every animal, from every background, with any medical need should have an equal chance at a happy and healthy life. CHEW was founded on this principle, and we continue to promote fair and excellent pet care through the CHEW Compassion Fund.

Statistics
➡Our 2024 operating budget was $1,000,000 and our anticipated annual operating budget for 2025 is $1,350,000
➡Since our inception, we have exceeded 15,000 appointments/surgeries
➡Since our inception, we have cared for over 10,000 pets and helped over 4,200 clients

Target Audience
Our services benefit under-resourced pet owners who face financial challenges and fall outside of the services offered by traditional clinics and nonprofit spay/neuter clinics. We determine eligibility for financial assistance based on income, dependents, and the number of pets in their home.

⭐Programs⭐
Compassion Fund

The Compassion Fund is a powerful lifeline for our companion animals in their most vulnerable moments, helping those that are still unable to afford the low-cost prices at CHEW Animal Hospital. With every dollar donated, we can make a profound impact on the lives of pets facing dire circumstances. This fund is a beacon of hope for those who are desperately in need of life-saving surgeries or vital diagnostics. Imagine a pet, suffering from a chronic illness or enduring a critical injury, unable to receive the immediate care they so desperately need merely because of the lack of finances. At CHEW Animal Hospital, we strive to provide care at the lowest possible cost, but when financial barriers still exist, this fund becomes an essential resource, ensuring that no pet is left without the care they deserve.
