Doodle Rock Rescue has RESCUED, REHABILITATED, and REHOMED 2,000+ poodle mixes since our founding in 2017.

In the seven years since establishing Doodle Rock Rescue, the need for our mission has grown rapidly. We welcome dogs from all over the United States, and have made it a priority to help shelters with some of the highest kill rates in the nation, both in North Texas and South Texas. Not only do they lack support and exposure, their daily intake exceeds their capacity, a death sentence for many of the dogs who walk through the door.

Medically, Doodle Rock Rescue takes on some of the toughest cases. Many dogs who enter our program require extensive medical procedures such as orthopedic surgeries, amputations, cardiac or uro-genital surgeries, and other invasive exploratory surgeries. Many of our dogs also have mild to serious dental disease, ear infections, skin conditions, or require heartworm, parvovirus, or distemper treatment. These medical treatments can range from $350 - $5,000+ and often require extended hospitalization and ongoing rehabilitation.

Doodle Rock Rescue also works with families who have to make the difficult decision to rehome their dogs and many shelters who call on us because of the trust they have in our process - from intake to adoption.

Giving these innocent animals a second chance at life fuels our passion and their success stories drive us to work toward our life-saving mission every day.

Our Needs

Doodle Rock Rescue is always looking for Fosters, Dog-Free Fosters, Transporters, Donors, Volunteers, and Corporate Partnerships. With 2,000+ dogs saved in just over 7 years, the need for our mission is growing rapidly. With growth, comes more dogs and the need for more volunteers and funding. Please consider joining the DRR family and/or donating to our cause!

We currently have a $50,000 gap in funds to support our operating expenses of $400,000 over the next 12 months. Your donations are critical to our ability to continue our mission! Every single dollar goes toward the rehabilitation, care and medical needs of our dogs in need. We cannot save lives without YOU!

Giving Activity

Mission

Doodle Rock Rescue (DRR) is a foster-based, volunteer-run dog rescue on a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abused, neglected, and abandoned poodle mixes (doodles) in need. On North Texas Giving Day 2024, Doodle Rock Rescue hopes to raise funds to support urgent and critical medical cases, senior dogs, and rescues from the south Texas region with some of the highest kill shelters in the nation. 100% of funds go toward the rehabilitation of our dogs in need, and with your help, we can continue our mission, be the voice for the voiceless, and save lives, one doodle at a time!

Equity Statement

At Doodle Rock Rescue, we are dedicated to promoting equity, inclusion, and diversity in all aspects of our mission. We believe that every doodle, regardless of their size, age, or background, deserves a chance for a loving forever home. Our commitment to equity extends to our human community as well. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all volunteers, donors, adopters, and veterinarian partners are treated with fairness and respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or socioeconomic status. We acknowledge that achieving true equity requires ongoing learning and growth, and we are dedicated to continually enhancing our practices to ensure a more just and compassionate world for both dogs and the people who love them.
