Purple Light Touch Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, was founded in 2015 to serve women and girls who have faced trauma and are in need of healing touch, prayer, and mentoring.

Purple Light Touch Founder and CEO Valerie Kelso found massage therapy was very beneficial to healing her body and soul after her own experiences with domestic abuse and wanted to share this benefit with others. Her goal was to provide a safe environment where women and girls can receive the help and support they needed to recover and free themselves from the chains of abuse.

Massage therapy can be helpful for trauma victims. Aside from physical pain, victims of trauma, past or present, often hold memories of such events in their muscle tissues. By receiving a massage from a trained professional, one can get back in touch with one's body and release built-up negative emotions.

Our FREEDOM and HOPE program is designed to help women who have escaped abuse or are recovering from cancer. Recovery and healing start today with you. Our goal is to teach them how to learn to love and respect themselves despite what they have gone through. Giving them the tools so they can empower themselves and find their voice to express their feelings in a positive and healing way. Once they commit to devotion to themselves, they can take back and own their power. Positive touch through massage allows them to cry, let go and begin the healing process.

Dream Program
A program for young girls who dream of a better tomorrow, gain relief from past traumas and eliminate their fears. They learn to accept who they are and become a mentor for others suffering from trauma such as abuse, bullying, and low self-esteem. At Purple Light Touch, we offer a calm safe place to grow and overcome this trauma through mentoring, support groups, prayer, empowerment, and therapeutic massages.

Our Needs

Your donation to Purple Light Touch allows us to provide therapeutic massage and other necessities for these women and girls who have nowhere else to turn. We're reaching out to you to help us broaden the scope of our mission to meet our goals with an investment of funds, time, and/or talent. We are in need of volunteers, board members, massage therapists, counselors, and mentors.

Donors and sponsors, your contribution will be used to provide medical and therapeutic massages, literacy programs, and multiple avenues of support for wounded girls and women, formerly abused/exploited teens and women by providing access to education, career training, interim financial assistance, and mental and spiritual support as they overcome backgrounds of abuse, addiction, and spiritual deflation. Your donations will also make it possible to provide training classes and podcasts designed to raise awareness in our communities.

Mission

To "Empower, Uplift, and Transform" the lives of women and girls dealing with the effects of all forms of abuse, depression, cancer and other life-altering circumstances.

Needs

We are in need of volunteers for craft and computer classes, craft supplies, mentors for our women and girls, and funds to help us keep the doors of our foundation open and allow us to serve any woman in need of aid.
