Mission

The Welman Project uplifts our community at the intersection of imagination, education, and the environment. Through creative repurposing of surplus business waste, we give teachers the tools and support they need to provide vital hands-on learning opportunities to every student.

Translation: We take stuff businesses would normally have to throw in landfills (from event signage to office chairs to misprinted T-shirts) and put it to creative new uses through three main venues:

- Teacher warehouse full of unlimited free materials and curriculum-enhancing creative reuse ideas

- Retail store for makers and families to get funky treasures and affordable arts and craft supplies

- Makerspace with tools and workshops that empower everyone to explore their creativity

Equity Statement

At The Welman Project, we believe in the transformative power of education. We're committed to continually educating ourselves on the racial injustices we perpetuate in this country so that we can work to no longer be complicit in them.

We pledge to use our platform to advocate for equity in our schools, where systemic racism has harmed generations of children, and to amplify the voices of BIPOC in our community.

We embrace diversity and strive for inclusion in all we do. Everyone is welcome at Welman.
