But standing in their way were barriers—obstacles like housing insecurity, emotional scars, financial struggles, and the weight of societal expectations. These barriers were real, and they threatened to hold back these resilient young souls from reaching their dreams.

Despite it all, these young individuals held on to one unwavering truth: who they choose to become, they will become. They had grit, courage, and hope. What they needed was a community to stand beside them, helping them break through the barriers in their path.

The Grit & Growth "Who I Choose to Become, I Will Become" initiative was born from the belief that no challenge is insurmountable when a community stands united. At the heart of this mission is our goal to raise $5,000, which will directly support 200 youth and young adults at our Grit & Growth Community Fair. This isn’t just about providing resources—it’s about creating a transformational experience that helps young people unlock their future.
