Serenity Veterans Village began aquaponics in 2019, this has supplied a steady source of Fresh fish and vegebtables to our homeless residents. However we have now exceeded its capability as many Freezes have broken parts of the system, caused loss of fish and plants.
In partnership with AquaGrow LLC we are getting a high tech system which can produce more, is safer in the winter and is much easier to troubleshoot, and repair.
It provides Residents who are not working with new skills in learning to care for the system the fish and the plants. Opening up the possibility of a new career, and even learning to provide their own food in the future when they move on from Serenity.
We have already started this process, and are moving ahead as we get funds to take another step. Every donation helps, and we thank you for taking the time to view our Orginization and consider assisting us.
