New Abby Road Peeps Joining Our Rescue

Abby Road started out as a small Dachshund rescue / all-breed senior sanctuary. But then a little chi girl needed help.  Many various breeds later, a pot belly pig in an apt. needed rescue. Barry Pigelow. Then I saw a baby miniature mare at a kill barn. Chila rode home in my Traverse. Years later, I got a call about orphaned ducks. Victor and Sassy now have 5 ducklings. I'm hoping I don't get any calls about giraffes! I board for my adopters and for other rescues very inexpensively to fund the food and vet bill. We need to upgrade a kennel for the ducklings, repair/replace fencing, put down sand, trim pecan trees for safety, and the list goes on. My paycheck mostly goes to the rescue, and we have been blessed to get by ok since 2016. I pray every year our donations from Giving Day will pay off our vet bill, provide some cushion for the next one, and pay for at least one big need. This year it will be keeping the ducks safe. We source from everything we already have, ask for turf donations, reuse, and refurbish so EVERY donation has a HUGE impact. Thank you!!
