Support Logan and the Dallas Jr. Wheelchair Mavericks!

$1,000

raised by 5 people

Logan has been a part of the Dallas Jr. Wheelchair Mavericks for 8 years.  Logan has been able to foster his love of sports because of this program.  The Dallas Jr. Wheelchair Mavericks is the only adaptive sports basketball team in North Texas, and we are very blessed to have been a part of the team.

Logan has always loved sports.  As he has grown, he has come to realize that his abilities are different than those of his peers.  The Dallas Jr. Wheelchair Mavericks have given him a place where he can play despite his different abilities.  It has given him a place where he doesn't stand out...a place where he belongs.  Logan is very dedicated to his team.  He is the player manager for the Flower Mound High School Basketball team.  Three mornings a week the players on the team get to school at 6:50 to lift weights in the weight room.  Logan also gets to school at 6:50 to practice wheelchair basketball in the gym.  As parents, we have watched Logan's love for the sport of basketball grow.  He has made many lifelong friends, grown more confident in his abilities, and found a place where he "fits in."  We can't say enough good things about the Dallas Jr. Wheelchair Mavericks.

The program currently has 4 teams that support kids from kindergarten to seniors in high school.  We are seeking contributions to help defray the costs associated with events, gym rentals, coaches' travels, as well as other program costs.

Generous donors like you are the key to our success and make it possible for the Dallas Jr. Wheelchair Mavericks to provide adaptive basketball for children with ambulatory issues.

We thank you for your support.
