Opal's Closet is a dedicated nonprofit organization providing essential items to children and youth in foster care across Tarrant, Johnson, Hood, Erath, Parker, Palo Pinto, Somervell, Denton, Cooke, and Wise counties.

Our Mission: At Opal's Closet, our mission is to ensure that every foster child receives the critical items they need during their transition into new placements. We deliver clothing, hygiene products, diapers, formula, car seats, and other emergency supplies within 6 hours of placement, operating 24/7 to meet urgent needs. Our goal is to provide these vulnerable children with the resources they need to feel safe, cared for, and valued.

Why Your Support Matters: Every year, thousands of children enter the foster care system with little more than the clothes on their backs. With your support, we can:

• Ensure that foster children have access to clean clothing and hygiene products.
• Provide necessary items like diapers, formula, and car seats to infants and toddlers.
• Deliver these essential supplies swiftly, minimizing the trauma of transition for these children.

How Your Contributions Will Be Utilized: Your generous donations on North Texas Giving Day will directly fund the purchase of essential items for foster children. Below is a breakdown of how contributions will be allocated:

1. Emergency Clothing (30%): Providing clean, appropriate clothing for children entering new placements.
2. Hygiene Products (20%): Supplying personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and feminine hygiene products.
3. Diapers and Formula (25%): Ensuring infants and toddlers have the diapers and formula they need.
4. Car Seats and Safety Items (15%): Providing car seats and other critical safety items for emergencies.
5. Logistics and Delivery (10%): Covering costs associated with the rapid delivery of these items to foster children within 6 hours of placement.

• $25 can provide a month's worth of hygiene products for a foster child.
• $50 can supply diapers and formula for an infant for a month.
• $100 can cover the cost of emergency clothing for a foster child entering a new home.
