Help Me Celebrate My 50th!

I’m Turning 50 and I Need Your Help (Seriously, I’m Old)!

That’s right, friends, the big Five-Oh is here! I’m officially ancient, I guess, and AARP have already come knocking, but instead of getting a walker or a new pair of reading glasses, I’m asking for something way more exciting—your support for Badge Of Pride!

After half a century of life, I’ve collected a lot of things: wisdom (debatable), gray hairs, and a deep love for the LGBTQ+ community and our history. So, for my 50th, I’m skipping the presents (I’ve already got enough socks, thanks) and I’m asking you to help me celebrate with a donation to Badge Of Pride instead.

Your donations will help us continue preserving and sharing the fabulous history of our community—because, let’s face it, I’m not the only one getting older, and these stories need to be told!

ABOUT BADGE OF PRIDE 

Queer history is American history. As extremist efforts are underway in state legislatures and local communities around the country, it is imperative - now more than ever - that we take a stand to learn from our past.

Badge Of Pride is a  501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas dedicated to collecting and activating artifacts from LGBTQ+ history to inform, enrich and engage the power of contemporary Queer experience. By showcasing Queer history, we encourage activism, challenge stereotypes, promote inclusivity, and drive change.

Badge Of Pride does this work by acquiring and preserving significant LGBTQ+ historical artifacts, curating thought-provoking exhibits, organizing impactful public programs, and developing engaging workshops.

Development of a museum exhibition, titled BADGE OF PRIDE: FROM SILENCE...TO CELEBRATION! is currently underway. It is slated for opening in June 2025, running through October 2025 at the Irving Archives & Museum, centrally-located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
