Lupe's Leg Surgery

Lupe came into rescue in March 2022 from a bad hoarding situation. She suffers from severe luxating patella in both rear legs that cause her the inability to walk normally. Lupe waddles most of the time as her knee caps move out of place causing lameness in her rear legs. We'd love to give her normal walking capabilities and have consulted with Dallas Veterinary Sugical Center specialist to start the process. Each leg needs to be fixed separately and will cost roughly $3000 per leg. The surgery has a high rate of success and Lupe deserves a shot at a normal life. 

A little more about Lupe. Shortly after arriving to rescue she had puppies, was then spayed, and unfortunately gained some weight. We've spent some time getting her back down to a healthy weight in preparation for surgery. She's now ready to start the process. Lupe is a sweet girl that is still a little unsure of people but is warming up and gets so excited when her foster mom is around. She loves a comfy cuddle bed and to hide under covers. Lupe is dog friendly and does well with her furry foster siblings. Lupe is looking for her furever home, wether that's before or after her surgeries.
