Hey friends and family! I'm organizing a fundraiser for Union Coffee, my church and a place that I think of as my home away from home.
In addition to being on the worship band and planning team, I'm also a member of the board at Union. Union truly has one of the most kind, loving, and generous communities I have ever seen and I feel so blessed to have found my people here.
Union exists to "cultivate the divine spark in its neighbors for the good of Dallas and the world it inspires, leveraging a coffee shop as a critical tool for leadership and community development in an increasingly isolated and divisive world." Union does this by just being an open space for community to gather, for collaborators to meet, and for the spiritual seeker to discover something new while working in a coffee shop. Union also does this through programs like Naked Stage, Kuneo, and a Shot of Generosity. You can discover more about these opportunities on their page!
In the photo above, I'm embracing my dad after surprising him by singing one of his favorite songs at the end of our worship service. As many of you know, he has a late stage of dementia and these moments can be hard to come by. Union is a place that cultivates these moments of love and family for anyone who comes through the doors and I am so glad I get to be a part of it.
I hope that you will join me in supporting Union this year for North Texas Giving Day. Every bit donated counts.
