Empowering Loving Families for over 100 Years!

Since our founding in 1918, Hope Cottage has been dedicated to meeting the urgent needs of women and children in Texas. Initially founded to care for children who were orphaned or homeless in the wake of World War I and the Spanish flu, we remain committed to addressing the needs of Texas' most underserved women and children. This ethic of responsive service guides our services and programs as we work to transform lives with the love of family.

Our vision is a safe and loving family for everyone, and we offer an array of wraparound services to ensure that all North Texas families have the resources to thrive.

From pregnancy through the postpartum period and into the parenting journey, Hope Cottage provides targeted services for Texas women and children:

  • Parenting Education and Supportive Services - Our community-based parenting classes connect parents of young children to community, resources, education, and material support. Located across DFW, our parenting classes become a lifeline of support for parents of young children. Our program combines material support, including diapers for every child in the home, with evidence-based education and community support groups, and is proven to improve early childhood outcomes and family success.
  • Maternal Medical Care for all DFW women - CeCe's Place, our new women's health and prenatal clinic with medical services by HHM Health, serves DFW women with state-of-the-art care and connects them to our network of partners for complete supportive services. Patients receive state-of-the-art medical care combined with holistic needs assessment from a bilingual social worker, ensuring a healthy start to their pregnancy and parenting journey.
  • Foster Care: Serving children in need - Our dedicated Foster Care team recruits, trains, and supports families in their journey to care for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. With 35 hours of Trauma-informed education, Hope Cottage Foster Care families provide safe and loving homes for children in the CPS system.
  • Adoption and Pregnancy Services - Serving women and families through adoption services for over 100 years, Hope Cottage provides ethical, birth-parent-focused options counseling, infant adoption services, and connection to pregnancy care through CeCe's Place.
  • Education services for youth, adults, and community partners.

Needs

Our Parenting Support Program has experienced exponential growth in the past year, serving over 2,000 North Texas families in need. We provide 27,000 diapers a month to parents in the program as well as wipes and baby necessities. If your organization, community, church or school would like to host a Diaper Drive please contact: development@hopecottage.org.

We are always looking for individuals and couples who want to open their homes and become licensed Foster Care parents. We work with families of all kinds, including same-sex couples and single adults. If you are interested in learning more about this life changing opportunity, please contact Jayla Godbolt at jgodbolt@hopecottage.org.

We would love to partner with your company or employer to serve more North Texas families. If you are interested in corporate volunteering and partnership, please contact Ally Stokes, Director of Development at astokes@hopecottage.org.
