Love. Family. Ambition. Betrayal. At Shakespeare Dallas we've been bringing timeless themes like these to life for 52 years. As North Texas' leading professional theatre company performing the works of William Shakespeare, we believe that Shakespeare is for everyone. That means providing fun and accessible indoor and outdoor theatre, integrated school programs, and cultural enrichment for people of all ages and backgrounds. For many, interacting with Shakespeare Dallas is a tradition that has crossed generations and delighted guests since our founding.

Welcome to the people's theatre.

Mission

Founded in 1972, Shakespeare Dallas uses Shakespeare's works as a cornerstone to deliver exemplary performances and programming that is purposefully designed to be accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.

A commitment to being truly reflective of the communities we serve - from staff to artists and audiences - drives our mission every day.

Needs

NTX Giving Day is incredibly important for us, and goes a long way toward supporting our daily operations - our summer and fall Shakespeare in the Park performances, our winter season in the Arts District as well as the year-round programming we provide to thousands of Dallas area children and adults.

Your donations ensure that we can:

🎟 Keep theatre accessible for our community by offering affordable ticket prices and providing reduced or free tickets to community groups, park and recreation centers, and schools each year.

📚 Add 2 new student matinee opportunities, offered free or heavily subsidized to schools in underserved communities.

🎭 Aid in arts recovery by providing much-needed work for local artists, technicians, and arts administrators.

🎙 Produce a new season of Shakespeare Decoded, delving into social issues from racism to religion with local and national guest panelists.

🤓 Provide unique and meaningful learning experiences for young students through summer camps, after-school classes, digital programs, and more.
